My journey into taxidermy began through my love of the outdoors and hunting. As a young kid, I tried my hand at turkey fan and squirrel mounts, along with a few other small projects. It wasn't until 2017—when I harvested a double-bearded gobbler, my biggest at the time, and simultaneously dove into the waterfowl hunting world—that I became truly serious about taxidermy. Shortly thereafter, I became licensed and began doing work for others.
Those first few birds sparked a passion in me for bird taxidermy, which led me to specialize in this area and focus on doing what I love. In the years since, I have made it a priority to continue growing and seeking education to offer the best possible product to my customers. This has included taking classes and workshops with some of the best in the industry, learning new techniques and processes to increase efficiency and ultimately elevate the quality here at Patterson's Taxidermy.

I have been an avid hunter all my life and have always had a deep appreciation for taxidermy. It wasn't until Trevor and I started dating that I learned just how much goes into bringing a trophy "back to life." As time has passed, I was "promoted" from helper to full-time employee. I taught high school agriculture for over six years, but recently stepped away to commit to the shop full-time.
Now, my days are filled with skinning, painting, prepping, mounting, and keeping the business organized. I love seeing the process from beginning to end, and especially seeing the joy on our clients' faces. God has truly created beautiful birds, and we are so blessed to steward them and preserve these memories for a lifetime.
