My journey into bird taxidermy began through my love of the outdoors and hunting. As a young kid, I experimented with turkey fan and squirrel mounts, along with a few other small projects. It wasn't until 2017—when I harvested a double-bearded gobbler, my biggest at the time, and simultaneously ventured into the waterfowl hunting world—that I became truly serious about the taxidermy process. Shortly thereafter, I became licensed and began creating custom taxidermy mounts for others.
Those first few birds ignited a passion in me for bird taxidermy, leading me to specialize in this area and focus on doing what I love. In the years since, I have prioritized continued growth and education to provide the best possible product to my customers. This dedication has included taking classes and workshops with some of the industry's best, learning new techniques and processes to enhance efficiency and ultimately elevate the quality here at Patterson's Taxidermy.
